The Oberon Theatre Ensemble is an active player in New York’s independent theatre community. Now in our 14th season, we combine classic, contemporary, and new works in repertory. We believe in the joy of a well told story, the connection offered by a supportive community, and the magic of the theatre. More

Support the Oberon Theatre Ensemble

  • We believe that everyone should be able to experience high quality theatre.
  • We believe that engaging, vibrant theater does not have to cost upwards of $100, or even $250 a ticket.
  • With your support, we can continue to do our part in bringing live theatre to those who may not otherwise be able to enjoy this very important part of New York life.

William_Anne_02.jpgOver the past eleven years Oberon has brought to life plays from Shakespeare to Checkov, Shaw to Ibsen, Arthur Kopit to Rich Orloff, Michael Weller to Lannie Hill and many others. Please visit our Past Productions page to see a list of all the shows we have produced. For the past three years we have staged our plays in the convenient and beautiful Theatre Row complex on West 42nd Street.

We offer high quality theatre to New York audiences for $20 or less.

In addition to our Season of plays for general audiences, Oberon has an Outreach Program which brings theatre to schools and nursing homes. We also encourage new playwrights. Each year our Originals Series holds several staged readings of new works.

Contributions from our supporters have made this possible. Continuing our work into a second decade requires your ongoing support. Creating theatre at this level takes a tremendous amount of effort and the skills of many talented individuals who donate their time and money because they are passionate about the importance of theatre and the arts. We hope you will decide to support us in our goal of bringing vital, exciting theatre to students, seniors and the community at large.

You can make a donation now by mail or online.
