OBERON ORIGINALS - STAGED READING SERIES

Congratulations Walter!!!

The Oberon Originals Spring '08 series was fantastic! We heard plays dealing with the culture of faith and its abuse, an incredible character study of those late night folks around Port Authority, racial studies in a very interesting light and exactly how different communities adjust to very different issues of race and family, to a teenage musical massacre-and all in one month! Brilliant.

Remember to let us know what you think. We absolutely value your input._

Finally a very big THANK YOU to Jeanine Stevens and the Original Intent Theater who graciously allowed Oberon to use their space as Where Eagles Dare had officially run out of space to serve us. And we were very lucky as we ran out of seating, standing, and sitting room for our final reading.

About our Reading Series

From Walter Brandes, our illustrious Literary Manager:

Each year, OTE conducts two installments of reading series in April and November. We choose the plays from a pool of works submitted to us throughout the years -- each play is read and deeply considered. Our most recent submission posting brought in over 200 plays, some from as far as Russia. WOW!

The original works that have been produced in OTE's 11 years of existence were first heard in our reading series. This is our contribution to keeping original works thriving and current -- in the city and internationally.

Encouraging playwrights to continue creating will only invigorate and diversify theatre as a whole. A mission all of us at OTE are very proud of. Our next reading series will be in November. Join us then.

Feedback Wanted

Whether you're a member of the audience or an actor involved in the read, we always love to hear your thoughts, critiques, praise, or suggestions.
