Eric Parness

Director, Starship Astrov
A frequent director for Oberon, including 2008's Ghost on Fire, Eric is the Artistic Director of Resonance Ensemble, where he has directed Sophocles' Antigone, Gorky's The Lower Depths, Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, and the world premiere productions of Strange Bedfellows by Bruce Cohen, La Tempestad by Larry Loebell, The Mail Order Bride by Charles L. Mee, and Sherlock Solo by Victor Cahn.

Other New York-area directing credits include Jean Cocteau Repertory’s/Rachel Reiner Productions’ Crazy for the Dog, Oberon's productions of Finding Louise, The Winter's Tale, Of Mice and Men, and Measure for Measure, Hypothetical Theatre Company's Kryptonite City and Faith, Blood Wedding (Boomerang Theatre Company), Zimmerman (Sanford Meisner Theater), Fit to Kill (Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre), and new work with adobe theatre company, Ensemble Studio Theatre, and Vital Theater Company, as well as educational theatre for Marist College, Stern College and Brandeis University. Eric is an alumnus of Brandeis University and a member of the Lincoln Center Theater's Directors Lab.

Austin Pendleton

Director, Order
AUSTIN PENDLETON has been seen on Broadway in The Diary of Anne Frank and Grand Hotel. He has appeared in the first New York productions of Oh Dad, Poor Dad..., Fiddler on the Roof, Hail Scrawdyke (Derwent Award), The Last Sweet Days of Isaac (Obie Award), The Sorrows of Frederick, Doubles, The Imposter, The Loop and Sophistry, and in the title roles of Off-Broadway productions of Hamlet, Richard III, Uncle Vanya, Keats and Jeremy Rudge. He is a playwright ( Orson's Shadow, Booth and Uncle Bob ), director ( Spoils of War, The Runner Stumbles and Elizabeth Taylor in The Little Foxes), teacher (HB Studio), and member of Chicago's Steppenwolf Ensemble. His film credits include What's Up Doc?, Trial and Error, The Associate, The Mirror Has Two Faces, Mr. and Mrs. Bridge, The Proprietor, Guarding Tess, The Fifteen Minute Hamlet, Catch-22 and Amistad. TV includes Fired Up, Frasier and Tracey Takes On. He began his career, and has acted and directed many times, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Grace Pettijohn

GRACE PETTIJOHN was recently seen onstage with Oberon as a Gentlewoman in Macbeth and as Luka in Anton Chekhov’s The Bear. Other Oberon credits include Comedie of Errors, …and They Were Lovers and I, Unseen. Grace has toured Europe, the British Isles and Scandinavia with the American Drama Group Europe, most notably in Harold and Maude and regionally in The Mikado, Angel and journeyed the gamut from Laura to Amanda in The Glass Menagerie. New York showcases abound including National Shakespeare's productions of True West, and Happy Journey to Camden and Trenton among others. Recent TV/Film: Law and Order, Deadline, My Brother's War and Stupid Rays. Grace is creator and founder of Theatre/Singing Dynamics - and she has written, produced and directed many plays for children. She is Outreach Manager at Oberon and looks forward to bringing The Bear to young and old audiences alike. Thank God for the voice of the theatre.

Rene "Cucusun" Reyes

Percussion, Othello
Started playing percussion at the age of seven in Havana, Cuba. Joining several important festivals, Cucusun learned drums and congas from the country’s masters. Arriving in NYC in 2006, Cucusun became proficient in a wider array of African/Latin instruments. Cususun’s style emerged while playing with York College’s Jazz Institute, the Blue Notes, the Forest Hills Jazz Band and at NYC and LA venues. Cucusun expects his B.A. from Hunter College in 2012.
