Performing: Most recently, Diánna played Deck in the acclaimed MTWorks' production of The Oath by Jacqueline Goldfinger. Ernie Martin, Abingdon Theatre; Coyote on a Fence (Shawna). Regional: The Trial of God (Maria); The Dutchman (Lula). Directing: Good Lonely People, MTWorks; A Home Across the Ocean (Newborn Festival Reading Series); Where Art Lives (Oberon Reading Series); A Simple Matter of Fear (Winner, Newborn Festival); Look After Your (Asst. Directing) MTWorks. She has also worked with Oberon Theatre Ensemble as the Assistant Director & Stage Manager in Macbeth, in 2008, but is now the Marketing and Communications Manager for Oberon.
After five years hosting, directing, and producing television and radio in St. Louis, she has returned to her hometown - following in the footsteps of her parents, Tony-Award winning actress Ann Wedgeworth and acting teacher/director Ernie Martin. Having acted/directed/coached on stage and independent film, Diánna has also taught acting to teenagers and adults at NYFA and the Ernie Martin Studio Theatre, and runs her own acting school, Martin Acting Studios, and teaches at Hunter College. Member of Oberon Theatre Ensemble and Maieutic Theatre Works (MTWorks); staff theatre critic for TheHappiestMedium.com; Awards Judge for NYITF Awards.

She has also appeared in film and video including Imaginary Heroes opposite Sigourney Weaver, Q and A with Nick Nolte, and is the voice and movement of Edna in the Video Game Bully. Ms. Nelson recently directed Missa Solemnis or The Play about Henry by Roman Feeser for DUTF (the Downtown Urban Theatre Festival) wich will also have a four week run opening this October.
